I'm still looking for the right vantage point to capture the wheel!

First Published Photo

This photo was taken back in late December 2011, and was recently published in the January-March 2014 edition of EOS Magazine along with an accompanying article.  The UK magazine noted the location of the photography and the photographer, me!

Westgate Bridge by night

These photographs don't quite capture how imposing the Westgate Bridge is, standing beneath the awesome structure, but by night the length of the bridge can be seen far into the distance.

Dandenong Ranges National Park

Monday morning was perfect weather to conquer the 1,000 Steps Kokoda Track Memorial Walk in the Dandenong Ranges National Park, with a couple of quick shots along the way.

I captured these three photographs at different points along the trail.

Brisbane by night

While Brisbane didn't provide many opportunities for landscape photography during the day, it did sparkle at night.  I captured these scenes of the Brisbane River and city skyline on the foreshore of the Riverside Centre.

And Brisbane aglow from Southbank.

Brisbane by day

A recent trip to Brisbane should have provided ample opportunity for an afternoon of photography, however the weather wasn't so obliging.  An overcast gloomy day with a white sky wasn't a great backdrop for my usual landscape scenes, so I had to get a little more creative.

I captured these shots at the Botanical Gardens in central Brisbane.

Brisbane by night however, did sparkle.....

The Windmill

Here are a few shots that I captured at Woodlands Historic Park.  The windmill and shed are relics of the old homestead.

South Wharf

South Wharf is expanding fast with lots of new restaurants and apartments.  It provides a new vantage point to photograph the city, and of couse I had to capture the fire brigades in front of Crown Casino from this view too!

Little Christmas Present

Here's mum and dad's little Christmas present.  Little for now at least....

Bellarine Pennisula.... Part 3

I did of course save the best for last, and these series of panoramic photographs are definitely a combination of my favourite images of the Bellarine Pennisula.  Sunrises, sunsets and jetties always make great pictures, especially when the colours are so vibrant during the winter months.

This series of panoramic photos are from Clifton Springs, Indented Head, Swan Bay, Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale.

Bellarine Pennisula.....Part 2

Sunset at Swan Bay provided some dramatic colours contrasting against the still blue water.

These successive images of the waves rolling in at the historic Queenscliff pier which has been recently restored.....

At Queenscliff the black lighthouse guides shipping through the trecherous channel.

The years can be quickly rewound on the streets of Queenscliff through a black and white lens.

By the time I reached Port Lonsdale it was becoming quite stormy.  The sun peaking through the clouds provided interesting light when capturing these photographs.
