After developing an interest in photography in 2009, and the inquisitive queries from family and friends, this is my way to share some of these images with you. I've started by publishing some of my favourite photos so far, and will share with you other shots I take over time. Please feel free to add comments in the blog. Hope you enjoy.

Saturday night at St.Kilda
Here are a few photos I captured on Saturday night at St.Kilda. Time got away from me and it became a little dark, but that made the lights along the pier glow brighter. Look out for the leading lines once again, and of course I finished the night with another panorama.

Golden Field
Driving along the freeway this afternoon I spotted this field, and after a quick u-turn, captured some photos of what I think is a corn field. I used a polarizing filter to highlight the vibrant blue sky and then captured a few simultaneous images to create a panoramic photo.

St Kilda beach at sunset
I wandered down to St.Kilda beach late this afternoon, to try and capture a few sunset photos. A stunning sunset it was....

While the aim of my trip was to capture the vibrant sunset photographs above, like so many trips, the favourite photographs I capture aren't exactly what I had in mind when I set out. The sequence of photos below all have a common theme of 'leading lines'. Leading lines is a photographic technique where the 'lines' in the natural landscape, such as the railings of a pier, foreshore of a beach, rows of a vines in a vineyard, etcetra, are used to lead the eye into the focal point of the photograph. I am a little obsessed with this photographic technique so you will see 'leading lines' in more than half of my photos, sometimes the line becomes the focal point itself.
After walking along the St.Kilda foreshore, I ventured a little further down along the waterfront, towards Port Melbourne. The final photograph below is my last Sean Davey inspired panoramic photograph.
