While the aim of my trip was to capture the vibrant sunset photographs above, like so many trips, the favourite photographs I capture aren't exactly what I had in mind when I set out. The sequence of photos below all have a common theme of 'leading lines'. Leading lines is a photographic technique where the 'lines' in the natural landscape, such as the railings of a pier, foreshore of a beach, rows of a vines in a vineyard, etcetra, are used to lead the eye into the focal point of the photograph. I am a little obsessed with this photographic technique so you will see 'leading lines' in more than half of my photos, sometimes the line becomes the focal point itself.
After walking along the St.Kilda foreshore, I ventured a little further down along the waterfront, towards Port Melbourne. The final photograph below is my last Sean Davey inspired panoramic photograph.
